What is a bay window?

A bay window unit projects out from the wall of the house and is constructed from three window units with the middle unit is parallel with the wall. Ventilating units of double-hung or casement windows are typically selected for the opposing side units, and picture window is typically selected for the center unit.

I would recommend these guys to anyone. The dot com guy came and rechecked our measurements before we ordered our windows and the salesman was up front and honest about everything. When they installed the windows they had the upmost respect and honesty out of any crew I have seen. Tanner, the installer, let my kids ask him a million questions and was always happy to answer. If something was wrong they made sure it was fixed the correct way and didnt rush through to get it done. Will definitely be doing business with them in the future.

The windows on our house had been installed a bit incorrectly leaving some exposed wood and a terrible caulk job. We had Tom come over and install some new window caps around the trim of the windows. They were able to come and complete the job in a matter of a few hours (15 or so windows). They installed a storm door for us as well and to top it all off even hauled away our cardboard recycling for us. That's what I call going the extra mile. Call these guys, you won't regret it.

A good location for a bay window may simply be an existing bay window that needs to be replaced. Also, any picture window is a great location for a new bay window. The new projecting unit is custom-made and doesn’t require costly time-consuming structural changes. Bay windows add new dimension to the room and the exterior of the home. They can be tied into an overhang or installed with an optional roof assembly.
